Growth form:tree. Height: up to 20 m, with a twisted trunk. Bark: fibrous or smooth, mottled cream and grey. Leaves: rounded to lanceolate, dull green to blue-grey on both sides. Flowers: white, flower buds grouped in sevens at the branch tips. Blooming period: October-November. Fruits: woody barrel-shaped capsules, with enclosed valves.
